The LEP Program Contact must ensure that training is developed and delivered on a regular basis to all staff on the use and content of the Labor and Industry's language assistance policy to include the use of the Language Line, Language Identification Cards (I-Speak), and other language programs as they become available.
A. Field office managers and administrators must ensure that all staff receives training at reasonable intervals on the use and content of the Labor and Industry's language assistance policy, language line, and other language programs.
B. Field office managers and administrators must ensure that all new employees are trained on the use of the language line before they are allowed to provide these services.
The LEP Program Contact must ensure that all staff in their respective program(s) is properly trained with respect to this policy.
The Bureau of Human Resources must ensure that this information is included as part of the Labor and Industry's new employee orientation program.
The Office of Equal Opportunity will ensure that a "Limited English Proficiency" training module is developed and that training is delivered as part of the OEO Technical Assistance to field offices, programs, central office staff, and all LEP Program Contacts.
