2023 Grants

AmeriCorps State Program Grants

AmeriCorps Program Grants are available for the operation of AmeriCorps programs. Program grants enable organizations to recruit and support AmeriCorps members as they serve unmet community needs.

PennSERVE’s 2023 – 2024 AmeriCorps Grant Competition will include two opportunities to apply. In both cases, the grant period begins July/August 2023.

Spring Funding – Program Operating Grants: Applicants compete at the state level. An agency that is not funded through the fall competition may be considered for funding in the spring grant competition.

Please note: In order to be eligible for this 2023-2024 RFA, applicants must have previously been a grantee or subgrantee of PennSERVE or have previously applied during this program year and been referred by PennSERVE to the Formula Application

Applications are due Friday, March 3, 2023 by 5:00 pm. Application documents include:

Multi-State AmeriCorps Programs

An organization applying to operate an AmeriCorps program in more than one state must apply to the federal AmeriCorps agency directly. Programs that intend to operate in and outside of Pennsylvania must complete the Multi-State AmeriCorps Consultation Form through America’s Service Commissions. The consultation form must be completed prior to the application deadline. Visit America's Service Commissions website to complete your consultation form.

PennSERVE strongly encourages organizations to meet with our staff to discuss program development and proposed Pennsylvania service activities. Please contact pennserve@pa.gov to arrange a meeting.
