PennSERVE provides funding to AmeriCorps programs across Pennsylvania that use national service as a tool to address local issues in key focus areas, including economic opportunity, education, disaster preparedness, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans and military families. Each of these programs uses AmeriCorps funding to recruit, place, and supervise AmeriCorps members to carry out service.
To be considered for funding, programs must submit an application to PennSERVE. Organizations must identify the need in their community, how AmeriCorps members are uniquely qualified to meet that need through the program design, and what performance measures the program will meet through its services.
PennSERVE anticipates releasing a Request For Applications for 2022 AmeriCorps grants in September 2021.

Grants are available for the operation of Commonwealth Civilian Coronavirus Corps AmeriCorps programs by organizations that have previously been a grantee or subgrantee of PennSERVE or the AmeriCorps agency.
