Theodore Robb

Theodore Robb was born in New York. He graduated from Pomfret School in Pomfret, Connecticut, and Yale University where he received a bachelor's degree in Political Science. He also earned a bachelor's degree in foreign trade from the American Institute in Foreign Trade, Phoenix, Arizona.

Before joining state government, Robb was a former assistant to the Executive Vice President of International Operations for the H.J. Heinz Company in Pittsburgh. He is also a former director of the Office of Manpower Coordination and Training in the Department of Internal Affairs and Assistant Secretary for Legislation in the Governor's Office.

Governor Raymond P. Shafer appointed him Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry on June 22, 1970.
