Inclement Weather Policy
During inclement weather the center will remain open along with all state offices. If all state offices close due to poor weather conditions, the L&I Child Care Center will close as well.
Sick Children Policy
If your child is absent it is requested that you contact the center. This is especially important in the case of any contagious condition. In consideration of other children, we recommend that children return to the center only after their temperature has registered normal for at least 24 hours. Children with fever, pain, or contagious conditions should not be brought to the center.
Illness at School
Caregivers will notify parents as soon as possible when a child becomes ill (with a fever, sickness, or a suspected contagious condition). Because of the risk involved to other children, parents are expected to arrive promptly when called to pick up a sick child.
Administration of Medication
Only prescription medications in their original containers with safety caps will be administered to children attending the L&I Child Care Center. The provider will provide a central depository for medications, a designated person and an alternate to administer medications, and a medication log to be signed by parents and the person who administers the medication.
Should a doctor prescribe an over-the-counter drug, the center will administer it if the medication has a safety cap and if it is accompanied by a note from the doctor.
Multiple Children Discount
Discounts are not available for worksite programs.
