PENNSERVE GRANT OPPORTUNITIES
PennSERVE is pleased to announce the release of the 2017-2018 Pennsylvania AmeriCorps State Grants: Request for Applications for Formula Funding. This grant funding is for the planning and/or operation of AmeriCorps national service programs by community and faith-based organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions. AmeriCorps State grants support the efforts of organizations to recruit and deploy AmeriCorps members and the volunteers with whom they serve to address unmet needs.
AmeriCorps State grants will be awarded on a competitive basis to eligible organizations proposing to engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions to strengthen communities in the following focus areas:
- Disaster Services
- Economic Opportunity
- Environmental Stewardship
- Healthy Futures
- Veterans and Military Families
Two types of grants are available: program operating grants and planning grants. The Request for Applications is available here.
- A Notice of Intent to Apply is required to be eligible for this competition and is due by Friday, March 24, at 5:00 pm.
- Applications are due Thursday, April 26, at 5:00 pm.
AmeriCorps 101/Funding Overview webinars will be held on February 23 and March 21 to provide interested organizations with an overview of AmeriCorps and the grant opportunity. Additional information on the webinars is available here.
