Parents: Dinner & Chat

  • This is an informal dinner for parents of children who are deaf, deafblind or hard of hearing children of any age.

  • Dinner & Chat is being led by:

    • Hands & Voices Guide by Your Side of Pennsylvania (GBYS)
    • Pennsylvania Hands & Voices
    • Parent to Parent

  • Parents can meet other parents, share experiences, and learn!

  • Dinner will not be provided. However, dinner may be purchased from the “Grab & Go Dinner” and taken to the assigned tables in the Expo Hall. There are menu items for adults and kids.

  • Kids are permitted to join their parents at the dinner.

Hands & Voices Guide by Your Side of Pennsylvania (GBYS)
GBYS is dedicated to supporting families and their infants and toddlers who are newly identified with hearing loss by offering them an opportunity to talk or meet face-to-face with a Parent Guide, a trained parent of a deaf/hard of hearing child, who can provide assistance using their personal experience and knowledge. Hands & Voices is dedicated to supporting families with children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing without a bias around communication modes or methodology.
