Networking Reception

HLE 2016 invites exhibitors, presenters, and volunteers to a networking reception. It is our way to recognize each of you, say thank you, and give you time to network. It is through collaboration, brainstorming, and partnerships that we can make Pennsylvania a friendly place to live for the citizens who are deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing.

The reception will be on Wednesday evening after the expo closes, from 7:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. in the exhibitor hall. The reception will be accessible with interpreters, assistive listening devices (ALDs), and CART.

See you there!
ODHH staff

This networking reception would not be possible without our sponsors:

Pennsylvania Relay is a no-cost,* 24-hour service that allows individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deafblind or have difficulty speaking to communicate freely with friends, family and businesses. For people who have difficulty hearing or speaking, the simple act of using a telephone can be a challenging and frustrating experience. Whether it’s conducting business, speaking to doctors, making appointments or just keeping in touch with family and friends, an inability to communicate over the phone can affect almost every aspect of a person’s day-to-day life. Multiple service options are available to fit individual communication needs.

Fair interpreting LLC was established in 2009 to continue meeting the growing demand for interpreting services. Nationally, the demand for interpreting services continues to outpace supply. Fair Interpreting LLC assists individuals and corporate clients in meeting some of their requirements and obligations outlined by the Americans with Disabilities Act in regards to accessibility and equality in communication.

Fair interpreting LLC works with only nationally certified sign language interpreters covering the south central Pennsylvania and Baltimore/Washington areas.
